Undertaking for minors under 18[1] (additional to the Terms of Service)

 

Children under the age of 13 cannot have access to this website.

 

If you are aged 13 or older but below the age of 18, you should review and discuss the Terms of Service with your parent or guardian to make sure that you and your parent or guardian understand and agree to abide with them.

Risk and safety guidelines for minors being at least 13 years old but not having reached the age of majority

 

  1. This platform may link to online content that spreads, incites, promotes or justifies racial hatred, xenophobia, anti-Semitism or other forms of hatred based on intolerance, including, but not limited to: sexism, intolerance expressed by aggressive nationalism and ethnocentrism, discrimination and hostility against minorities, migrants, people of immigrant origin, Roma and LGBT people. The purpose of this is to examine this content, learn from it and which will enable you to take action that can lead to that content being corrected or removed from the Internet.
  2. By being a user on this platform you become an online activist against hate speech on the Internet and for human rights. Thus you may become a target of hate speech yourself.  For this reason you should be very careful to protect your identity and personal data[2]. You have to make sure that you never provide any part of your identity, including, but not limited to your postal address, telephone number, email address, school or college address or other information that would enable a third party to locate you and make sure you do not make it visible on any of your online profiles.
  3. In case you are the victim of an offence committed by another user or in connection to your presence on this platform, you undertake to report it to a moderator and ask for help and advice. [1] 18 years is in general the age of majority in most countries, but if your country provides for higher age of majority, you are still required to obtain your parent’s or guardian’s consent even if you are already aged 18.
